CBD is a fantastic medicinal resource in South Africa – great for relieving stress, anxiety, insomnia and various other health ailments. To avoid the negative side-effects of smoke inhalation, CBD Edibles have become a very popular ingestion method for many users.
Cooking with CBD in South Africa need not be a stressful endeavour. CBD, which stands for Cannabidiol, is the very potent extract obtained from the Cannabis plant – one of 113 varying compounds. Unlike THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD is a non-phsycoactiye competent, meaning it does not cause any intoxicant reactions; simply put – pure CBD will not cause a ‘high’. There are many ways to consume CBD: CBD Vapes, CBD Oils, CBD Topicals, and of course CBD Edibles. CBD Edibles refer to cannabis in an ingestible form, one which does not require combustion to activate compounds. As Edibles do not require combustion, they do not require inhalation. Inhalation and smoking are often perceived negatively in the context of CBD ingestion methods; whereas, CBD Edibles provide a safe, enjoyable, and undeniably delicious alternative.
